At Qualcomm I worked on Hardware Digital Rights Management for Windows chipsets — low-level security work at the boundary of firmware, hardware, and OEM integration.
- Single-handedly enabled HWDRM on Qualcomm's newest chipsets — integrated Microsoft PlayReady Porting Kit 4.0
- Built Hardware Key Manager (HWKM): keys are never stored in clear text, even inside the security chip. Attackers had previously been able to fully recover private keys from Qualcomm Secure Storage
- Implemented HWKM as a firmware driver so Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other modules could reuse it — saving weeks of development and testing
- Found and fixed a Netflix playback glitch affecting ~2% of chipsets
